Santorini in the off-season was heavenly. Temperate weather, cheap lodging and in Oia, there were times when I had the whole town to myself. I used to dream about going to Santorini one day. One day finally came…
when I arrive in Greece it was dark. Anxious to see what’s outside on the first morning

These folks are from Israel. The lady tried to fit me in the back of their 2-seater smart car and take me around the island. That’s ok. I’m all set.

utilitarian. except also beautiful.
a man hanging around the mini mart insisted on giving me this meat. he spoke not a bit of English and I speak no Greek. he was missing at least one tooth and clutching a bottle of brown liquid. he kept lunging to grab my arm, but in a jolly I’m not trying to take you way. i politely accepted it, walked away, took a picture of it, and tossed it. i don’t accept meat from strange men. #pause
breakfast at the hotel in Oia
what’s a Greek breakfast without olives?
